Chateau Coutreau is an intense crimson red colour. The nose is complex, a mixture of fresh fruit and tertiary aromas. Aromas of blond tobacco and vanilla assert themselves when stirred. On the palate, the tannins are silky, the wine is balanced and red fruit aromas persist on the finish.

The word of the Winemaker,  : his vines are planted on the most beautiful clay-limestone slopes and cultivated with passion, the vines producing a grape with perfect maturity. The respect of a traditional vinification, a careful blending, and an 18 months ageing in French barrels complete the elaboration of our Château Coutreau.
Terroir

Grown on our most beautiful chalky-clay hillsides, their Cabernets are powerful and complementary to our fruity Merlots.

Mechanical harvest with berry selection. Fermentation to a temperature of 25° to 28° with daily pump-overs. Skin maceration during three weeks and selection of the best tanks. French oak barrel ageing during 18 months before blending.
