Chateau Maillet Pomerol 2020
Chateau Maillet Pomerol 2020
Chateau Maillet is a favourite of ours and produced about 750 metres away from Petrus, by Chateau Vignobles Moze-Berthon, surrounded by legendary terroir and neighbours.
This wine is gaining a great deal of support across global tastings and the world's leading writers and critics. "A wine to watch and look out for" wrote James Suckling. A wine to drink now or to keep for the future, the 2020 vintage is getting 94-96 pts, making this a very well positioned and priced 'God of Pomerol' sitting amongst some very expensive colleagues, costing many thousands of pounds a bottle.
There is not much of this Slurp available in the UIK at the moment, so it will go quickly and is priced to sell
Chateau Maillet can be enjoyed on the young side with decanting for an average of 1-2hours or so.
Decanting allows this great wine to soften and open its aroma and fruit.
Chateau Maillet can be kept for 4-7 years of bottle age, over which time it will get better, with peak maturity between 6-20years after the vintage.
Please look through the tasting notes in the photos section for critics scores and further details.
The wine is a BANGER and one heck of a good wine....you heard it and read about it here first!
Great value at this price, which is significantly cheaper than retailers 'En France'!
